VIM HowTo - Configure

First Step

Whenever I invoke Vim that has no setup file, I usually ":set nocp" first. Setiting this option has a sideeffect on some 38 options, and all of these make Vim behave non-Vi-compatible. But usually this is a good thing[tm]. :-)
